In the News: “Follow-up home visits with registered dietitians have a positive effect on re-admission rates”
The National Institute of Health has released a study that details many of the positive effects that recurring in-home visits with a dietitian can have. Follow the link inside to read the study and learn more about what it means for you and your patients.
Study Objective: To assess the benefits of individualized nutritional counseling by a registered dietitian in geriatric patients’ homes after discharge from the hospital, in relation to risk of re-admissions, functional status, nutritional status, etc.
